RE: A Night with the Principal

Dear Park View Parents/Guardians,

It seems like only yesterday we were having our first day of classes on campus. We have been hard at work in the past four weeks and I can attest that many great things have been happening on campus. But school is much more than administrators, teachers and students. It involves our entire community. I think that for far too long, schools have functioned as islands and that should not be the case. You entrust us with your children every day and as we move forward setting the path of Park View Elementary for the next decade, you need to be a part of helping us define our identity.

Our goal as a school is to become a true Professional Learning Community. The heart and soul of this community is our mission statement. A mission statement will define, for each and every one of us, what we do every day as students, teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to make Park View the best school it could possibly be. It will define our purpose, it will state who we are, it will tell our story.

All parents and family members are invited to attend A Night with the Principal, an evening event to open the dialogue to define Park View’s mission statement. Please join me on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Multi-purpose room for the start of this discussion.

Thank you,

Jim Schuller
